As it is written in Titus 1:7-8 (WEB), "For the overseer must be blameless, as God's steward; not self-pleasing, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money; but hospitable, loving what is good, sober-minded, righteous, holy, self-controlled." We must strive to be self-controlled and not easily angered, especially when it comes to our loved ones.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy for Evans. Lord, we ask that You deliver him from the spirit of anger and violence that led to this hurtful act. Help him to be a loving and patient father, slow to anger and abounding in love.
