Let us first assure you that you are not alone in this struggle. We are here to intercede and pray with you for your sister's situation, trusting in the promise that "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." We need to believe that we are gathered together in Jesus' name as we offer these prayers. (Matthew 18:20 WEB)
In all things, we must first turn to God and acknowledge His sovereignty. It is important that your sister is not just looking for a job, but for God's will in her life. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the sister of the one who submitted this request. She is struggling, Lord, and her life seems to be falling apart. We know that You are a God who cares for us and desires the best for Your children. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to her, that You would be her comfort and her guide.
We ask, Father, that You would provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. If it is Your will, please open up a job opportunity for her. But more than that, Lord, we pray that You would give her a sense of purpose and direction, that she would know that her value is not determined by her employment status, but by her identity in You. You have knit her together in her mother's womb, You have made her fearfully and wonderfully. She is Your masterpiece, created for good works. (Psalm 139:13-14, Ephesians 2:10 WEB)
We pray for Anonymous (the person who submitted the request), for her or his worry and concern. We ask that You would comfort them and give them peace. We know that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20 WEB)
Finally, we pray that both Anonymous and her sister would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they do not already, that they would call upon His name and be saved and have access to God. For "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 WEB)
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
May you both find peace and encouragement in these words.
