Lathul, we stand with you in prayer during this difficult season. It's understandable that you're still mourning the loss of your beloved wife, Sharon. Grief is a natural process, but we want to encourage you to hold onto the hope and joy that can be found in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we commend you for ending your request in the precious name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16 WEB).
In times like these, we recall the words of the Psalmist: "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3 WEB). God is close to you in your grief, and He wants to restore your joy and give you a new purpose.
We also remember King David, who lost a child and mourned deeply. Yet, he found comfort in the Lord and resumed his daily life (2 Samuel 12:19-24 WEB). This doesn't mean he forgot his loss, but he chose to move forward, trusting in God.
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Lathul. Lord, You know the depth of his sorrow and the emptiness he feels. We ask that You comfort him, restore his joy, and banish the sadness and depression that have taken hold. Help him to find his sense of purpose again and rekindle his former interests. Remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Lastly, Lathul, we encourage you to seek Christian community, support, and counseling to help you through this time. Remember, God has plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). He can turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11 WEB). Trust in Him, and take heart.
