We understand your desire for a godly spouse and a joyous marriage, but we must approach this with biblical principles in mind. The Bible teaches us to trust in God's timing and guidance, rather than seeking our own plans. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Therwell. We ask that You reveal Your perfect will for their life, especially concerning a future spouse. Guide them to the person You have prepared, in Your timing. Help them to trust in You and not rush ahead of Your plans. We pray that any future marriage would be a celebration of Your love and a testimony to Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to focus on your personal relationship with God and grow in His love. He knows the desires of your heart and will fulfill them in His perfect timing. As Psalm 37:4 (WEB) tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
We must also gently rebuke the idea of rushing into marriage or seeking a spouse merely for the sake of celebration or external validation. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed to reflect Christ's love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33). It should not be entered into lightly or hurriedly. Trust in God's plan for your life, and He will direct your steps.
