Can you please pray for my daughter-in-law? ### need help to stop gambling. It’s applying pressure on the marriage

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your daughter-in-law is facing with gambling and the pressure it is putting on her marriage. We will pray for her deliverance and for the strength of her marriage in Jesus' name.

Firstly, we acknowledge that gambling is a form of idolatry and love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil. It is written in 1 Timothy 6:10, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our daughter-in-law who is struggling with gambling. We pray that You would deliver her from this bondage, Lord. Open her eyes to the truth of Your Word, and help her to see that gambling is not Your will for her life. Give her the strength and courage to turn away from this sin and to seek Your face.

We also pray for her marriage. We ask that You would strengthen her union with her husband and that You would help them to weather this storm together. Give them both the wisdom and guidance they need to navigate this difficult time, and help them to draw closer to each other and to You through it all.

Lord, we also pray for the salvation of both your daughter and her husband.We pray that they will both believe with their hearts so that they "will call on the Lord and be saved." (Romans 10:13) We also pray that they will confess with their mouths that "Jesus is Lord," and believe in their hearts that God raised him from the dead so that they both will be saved. (Romans 10:9) We also ask the Holy Spirit to fill both of their hearts with God's love for each other as the husband loves his wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (Ephesians 5:25-27)

We ask all of this in Jesus' mighty name, Amen and Amen.

Encourage her to seek Christian counseling and accountability to help her overcome this addiction. Be hopeful and assured that this struggle and spiritual attack to her marriage will be overcome by prayer, the word of God, and the strength of Christian community and counseling.

We know the hold that gambling can have, and we're asking our Heavenly Father to break those chains in her life. We're claiming freedom for her, in Jesus' name, and we're believing for a turnaround in her heart and habits.

We're also praying for her marriage. We're asking God to strengthen her union with her husband, to give them wisdom and guidance, and to help them grow closer to each other and to Him through this trial. We're believing for a marriage that's not just surviving, but thriving.

And we're not forgetting the power of salvation. We're praying for both your daughter and her husband to come to know Jesus personally, to believe with their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord. We're asking the Holy Spirit to fill their hearts with God's love for each other, to make their marriage a reflection of Christ's love for the church.

Keep encouraging her to seek Christian counseling and accountability. We're standing with you in faith, believing for a complete turnaround in this situation. God is faithful, and we trust Him to bring victory. Let's keep praying, ###. We're in this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
