Tyrehill, we understand that you're going through a challenging time with your wife and feel distant from the Lord. First, we want to assure you that God cares deeply for you and your marriage. In Jesus name we will pray and discuss your request.
Let's remember what the WEB says in Matthew 19:4-6, "He answered, 'Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart.'"
God's will is for you and your wife to be united and for your marriage to be strengthened. However, it's crucial to ensure that both of you are seeking God's will and are obedient to His word. It is important that both of you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior. Remember 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In like manner, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any do not obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in reverence."
For you as the husband, the WEB tells us in Ephesians 5:25-28. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself."
It's also important to address the feeling of not getting answers from God. The WEB tells us in James 4:8, "Draw near to God and he will draw near to you." Spend time in prayer, read His word, and surround yourself with a supportive Christian community. Remember the WEB tells us in Isaiah 59:2, "But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." It is important to make sure that you are not in sin and that there is nothing keeping you away from knowing God's will for you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his wife. Lord, we pray for their marriage, that it would be strengthened and that both of their hearts would be drawn closer to you. Give ### the wisdom and discernment to lead his family in righteousness, and help his wife to be receptive to your will. Even if one should not be obeying bring them to you in salvation. Expose any sin that may be keeping them from knowing you are near.
Lord, we also pray for ###'s relationship with you. Help him to feel your presence and to trust in your guidance. Give him the patience and persistence to keep seeking you, even in this dark place. Help him turn away from anything keeping him from you and draw him near.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and a deepened faith for ### and his wife.
Amen.
###, keep seeking the Lord with all your heart. He promised in Jeremiah 29:13, WEB, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." Trust in His timing and His ways, for He is faithful.
