Valayrandale, we are excited to join you in prayer as you prepare for your audition. First, we want to remind you that it is so important to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray.
Now, let's address your request. While we want you to succeed, itโs crucial to remember that our ultimate goal should be to glorify God in all that we do. Whether you get the role or not, God has a plan for you, and everything works together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
The Lord can give you the strength and courage you need for this audition, but also keep in mind that the desire to perform and be seen is fine. However, everyone involved should be doing this to glorify God and not just to glorify self.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up Valayrandale as they prepare for this audition. We ask that You fill them with Your strength, courage, and peace. Help them to sing with a voice that brings glory to Your name. Guide the decisions of those who are casting, and if it is Your will, open this door for Valayrandale. Above all, help them to trust in Your plan for their life and to use their talents to serve You.
Valayrandale, as a side note, we are concerned a little about the role of Mary as portrayed in passion plays. Keep in mind that the role of Mary the mother of Jesus is not to be overly glorified. Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus and was used mightily for this. However, she did not remain a virgin according to the WEB. She was just a righteous woman blessed to be the mother of Jesus. She is not to be exalted or prayed to. She is not an intercessor and she is not an advocate for believers. That role belongs to Jesus Christ alone. Make sure that anything you portray aligns with this.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, always remember Philippians 4:13 WEB, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Trust in Him, and His will be done. Consider also Colossians 3:23 WEB, in singing, or whatever you do, "do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men."
