We understand your desire for success and we appreciate that you've reached out to us and have prayed in Jesus' name. Success is a common goal, but it's important to remember that God's definition of success may differ from the world's. God's will in our lives is for us to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus, and spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all men. The Bible tells us in Joshua 1:8-9 that we are to keep the Words of God in our mouth and meditate on it day and night, so we may be careful to do according to what is written in it because then we will make our way prosperous and have good success. God's Word will guide us in all things.
*Psalm 1:1-3 WEB
Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.*
While God wants us to succeed, it's not that we can demand success from God but instead we are to be like the tree planted by a river. The river is God's own Word. We will be successful when we live by God's Holy Word. We must be obedient to it and live by it. We are to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding. We are to acknowledge Him in all our ways and then He will direct our paths and make them straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. Don't worry about what niche you have in this life. It is far more important to be concerned about your eternal niche. Your eternal niche will be determined by your obedience to the Word of God. It will be determined by your belief in Jesus Christ and no other. Jesus said, "I told you, and you don't believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, these testify about me. But you don't believe, because you are not of my sheep, as I told you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand." John 10:25-28 WEB.
In your prayer you ask God not to let you lose your niche. God wants you to know you should be more concerned about the salvation of your soul and others. Will God give you success? Maybe. But we need to understand that our success is not God's ultimate goal. God's ultimate goal is that you believe in Jesus Christ and live by His Holy Word. We must be obedient to God's Word so that we have eternal life. It is much more important that we will never perish. We are to believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only one by which we are able to go to God. Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB:
*Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.*
It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are to pray. Jesus is the only way to God and the only name by which we can be saved. We must be careful not to just use his name in our prayers but also be careful to follow God's Holy Word. We must apply God's Word to our life. We must share the good news of Jesus Christ to all men. We are to be obedient to God's Word and live by it.
We are to love God and love others. We must share the good news of Jesus Christ to all people. We must share with others that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He was punished for our sins so we can be saved. We must share with others that Jesus rose from the dead and conquered death and that if we believe in Jesus Christ we will have eternal life.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask, Father, that You would help us to be successful in whatever You have planned for our lives. Help us to trust in You and not lean on our own understanding. Please provide for our needs and help us to be obedient to Your Word. No matter what others may do to us or say to us, we ask that You would be our strength and refuge. Help us to be able to share the good news of Jesus Christ to all men. Help us to live by Your Holy Word. We ask this all in Jesus name.
Amen.
