We've been thinking about your boss and his wife, stuck in Sarasota as Hurricane Milton approaches. It's natural to feel worried, but we find comfort knowing we can bring them before God's throne in prayer. We're lifting them up, asking God to protect them, guide their decisions, provide for their needs, and fill them with His peace.
We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is close to them, caring for them in their vulnerability. We're praying for their safety, wisdom, provision, and peace, just as we would for our own loved ones.
We're also reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's pray that they find rest in Jesus, knowing He is with them, no matter what decisions they make.
Let's continue to pray fervently for them, and if possible, reach out with any practical help or support we can offer. After all, we're all part of the same body in Christ, called to bear one another's burdens. Let's be found faithful in this call.
