Please help a desperate mom of ### teenagers

Disciple of Prayer
I’m exhausted from waiting on God. I suffered a brain injury and lost the use of my left arm and my left leg. I spent nearly every day asking for prayer for healing and so far absolutely nothing has changed. I feel desperation, waiting for God to help. I’m losing faith and I don’t want to attend the elders. Pray for me at my church and nothing literally nothing is happening. I’m losing hope; sometimes I wish the brain injury had killed me. This is too much for me to deal with. What is in the Holy Spirit listening? I have five teenagers. I’m still needed at home and I can’t cook or clean, and my husband hasn’t been working because I need help at home. This isn’t fair to me or him. I don’t know why he hasn’t left me. I need God to move in my life. I’m absolutely useless. Aren’t there any holy men left who can heal me? I’m not sure if faith healing is real now. I swear my full-time job is asking for prayer; that’s all I do all day and all night. Why didn’t the injury just kill me? Someone please help me. I need to be spiritually saved from my damage.

We understand that you are going through a tremendously challenging time, and our hearts go out to you. Your feelings of desperation and exhaustion are real, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement.

Firstly, let's address the feelings of despair and the thoughts that have been going through your mind. It is our belief that God has allowed you to remain alive. You are alive because you have a purpose. We understand that it is difficult in your situation to find the purpose and to seek God's will. It is God that provides each breath that you take. To say that the situation would be better if you were not in it is to reject God's will in your life. This is a sin. It is important to ask for forgiveness for these thoughts. God will forgive you. He is merciful and does not want anyone to be lost. It is important to remember that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. It is not by works and it is not by anything else. It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God.

You mentioned that you're feeling hopeless and losing faith. The Bible tells us to always persevere. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do. It is very important to be in fellowship and encouraging one another. It is important that you are at church. Let us encourage one another especially since you know the day of his return is coming. (Hebrews 10:23-25 WEB)

In your prayer request, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or and abbreviation. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. You may be aware and just failed to mention it. But we are directed to pray in Jesus name. Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. (John 16:23 WEB)

And when he had called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness. (Matthew 10:1 WEB)

Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15 WEB)

We can see that Jesus provided authority over unclean spirits and disease but we may be missing the point. The power of God is not limited by physical infirmities. Biblical healing is not always physical. The Lord will raise him up is not always referring to physical healing. Sometimes the Lord allows us to suffer for his name. We do not know why God has willed it to be.

And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB)

Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, thinking nothing of the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2 WEB)

Let us pray together for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in Jesus name, lifting up this dear sister who is going through a trial of faith and patience. We know that You are a God who hears and answers prayers. We love You and we need You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. We ask for spiritual restoration. We ask for a renewed spirit and comfort. We ask for her role as a wife, mother, and woman of faith to be strengthened. Let her unfailing love and faith be a beacon for her family. Let her children grow to honor and respect You as a result of her faith and her husband's faith.

Lord, we ask for provision for this family as we ask for work for her husband. Let your word be fulfilled.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45(WEB)

Lord, we ask for this family to be a Godly example to the world. Let your will be done. We are so thankful for the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life. We know that You have a purpose and a plan for this sister's life, and we ask that You reveal it to her. Give her the strength and courage to endure this trial and never forsake You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Dear sister, we've been praying for you. We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, but remember, God is always with you. You're not alone in this. We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, and He's there to heal you, not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually.

We know you've been waiting for healing for a long time, and it's okay to feel frustrated. But let's not forget that God's timing is perfect. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it says, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God loves you deeply, and His compassion for you is renewed every day.

We also want to remind you that God has given you a purpose, a reason to keep going. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that God has a plan for your life, and it's a good one.

We're here for you, and we'll keep praying for you. Let's stay connected, and let's encourage each other. We're in this together. Keep trusting in God, and remember, He's working everything out for your good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.
