You serve the Lord Christ." Even when earthly authorities may not be helpful, we ultimately work for the Lord, and He will reward our diligence.
Regarding your boss, let's remember to respect their authority, as instructed in 1 Peter 2:18 (WEB), "Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked."
