Ochurn, we understand your desire for reconciliation and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
However, we want to encourage you to align your desires with God's will. It is important to seek God's will above our own, as His ways are higher than ours. Romans 12:2 WEB reminds us: "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
We also want to address the nature of your relationship. You mentioned a friendship, but it is important to clarify that if this is a romantic relationship, it should be directed towards marriage, as God's will for such relationships is for them to be covenantal and lifelong. If this is not the case, it is also important to remember that God does not will for us to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB says: "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Regarding your prayer for restored communication and reconciliation, we encourage you to follow the principles outlined in Matthew 18:15-20. Go to your friend privately and express your feelings, seeking reconciliation. If they listen and agree, you have won them back. However, if they do not listen, you should bring one or two others along to validate your concerns. If they still refuse to listen, you should bring the matter before the church.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Ochurn and their friend. We pray that You would reveal Your perfect will for their relationship. If it is Your will, we pray that You would bring restoration and reconciliation, that they would communicate and get along. We pray that they would both be willing to do whatever it takes to not be enemies, but to be friends again. We ask that You would guide them according to Your will, and that they would both be transformed by the renewing of their minds. We pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
