Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up J. Barber and their family in Dallas. We humbly ask that you would surround them with a hedge of protection, shielding them from all evil and harm. Your Word assures us that whoever dwells in your shelter will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We declare that you are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust.
We claim the promise from Psalm 91:3-4 that you will save them from the fowler's snare and from deadly pestilence. We ask that you cover them with your feathers and provide them refuge under your wings. Let your faithfulness be their shield and rampart, guarding them from every danger and threat.
Lord, we know that it is dangerous to undertake any project without your hand upon us. We echo the prayer of Moses, saying, "If your presence does not go with us, do not send us from here" . We ask that you lead J. Barber and their family only where you will be with them. May they go forth with assurance, comfort, and power, knowing that your hand is upon their lives.
We also lift up the prayer of Jabez, asking that you would keep them from evil. Protect them from the snares of the enemy and deliver them from every form of temptation. Help them to live a righteous life by the power of your Spirit within them.
Lastly, we thank you for the assurance that when the storms of life come, you will be their hiding place, their city of refuge. No matter what trials or tribulations they may face, we trust that you will keep them secure and provide for their every need.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
[Note: This prayer incorporates elements from Psalm 91, Exodus 33:15, 1 Chronicles 4:10, and the concept of a hiding place and city of refuge.]
