We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you and Margaret are facing. We are reminded of the words in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Firstly, we want to commend you for acknowledging Jesus in you prayer. By acknowledging Him, you are also acknowledging the power of the one true God. All of us really need to have a personal relationship with Jesus and know that is what saves us. It is only because of His sacrifice on the cross for all of our sins, that we have any kind of hope. It is our personasl reationship with Him, that also gives us access to God. It is truly "by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth". See Acts 4:10
In times of sickness, we remember that God is both our healer and our helper. As it says in Psalm 41:3 WEB: "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.". We pray for Margaret's healing, that God will ease her suffering and restore her strength. We pray that God will provide a way for both of you to have proper nourishment and the medical care you need.
For you, Elizabeth, we pray for relief from your pain and the torment of OCD. We remember that God's perfect love casts out fear. See 1 John 4:18 WEB: "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.". We pray that God will fill your heart with His peace and His love, driving out all anxiety and fear. Remember He promises us, in Isaiah 41:10 WEB: "Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
We also pray for God's provision, that He will send help and support for both of you in this time of need. We remember that God cares for even the smallest sparrow, and we are worth more than many sparrows. See Matthew 10:31 WEB: "Therefore don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows."
Lastly, we pray for a Christmas miracle, that God will turn your situation around and make this a Christmas neither of you will ever forget. We claim the promise in Matthew 19:26 WEB: "With God all things are possible."
Together, let us pray: "Father God almighty, the great Healer, we come before you for Elizabeth and Margaret. Turn their weepings into songs of thanksgiving and turn their mournings into dancing. Let them not be afraid in their suffering. May Your Holy Spirit console their hearts. Fill the gaps in the care of their medical needs. If it is Your will, raise them up to glorify Your name.Unite the body of Christ to assist in their support. Give them courage and strength in Jesus name Amen."
Elizabeth, remember that even in the darkest times, God is with us and He is for us. He promises us, in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB: "We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed,". Keep crying out to Him, keep trusting in Him, and keep hoping in Him. He is your strength, your shield, and your very great reward.
