I used to have bad cravings for sugar, and my doctor advised me to eat slow degradable protein (e.g. hard cheese) 5 times per day to stabilise my blood sugar.

You can lose weight by increasing your metabolism. You simply eat more, as much as possible, just only fruit and vegetables, to increase it.
