Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with a humble heart, lifting up Gyeum in prayer. Your Word tells us in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us. Lord, Gyeum is seeking Your strength and guidance to overcome the struggles of smoking and pain pills. We know that in our own strength, we are weak, but in You, we find the power to overcome all things. As it is written in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Father, we ask that You break the chains of addiction that bind Gyeum. Fill this person with the Holy Spirit, providing the courage and perseverance needed to walk away from these harmful habits. Let Your healing touch be upon Gyeum, restoring the body, mind, and spirit to full health. Remind Gyeum of Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11, that You have plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give hope and a future.
Lord, we pray that Gyeum feels Your presence and love every step of the way. Surround this person with supportive and loving individuals who can offer encouragement and accountability. May Gyeum find solace in Your Word and strength in prayer, leaning on the truth found in 1 Corinthians 10:13, that no temptation has overtaken except what is common to mankind, and You are faithful; You will not let Gyeum be tempted beyond what can be borne, but when tempted, You will also provide a way out so that it can be endured.
We thank You, Lord, for the work You are doing in Gyeum's life. We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, knowing that through You, all things are possible. We pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
