We are truly moved by your heartfelt cry for help and your desire to change your life. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find forgiveness, healing, and restoration. We are here to support you in prayer and to encourage you with the word of God.
Firstly, we acknowledge your brave step in recognizing your drug addiction and your desire to let it go. This is not a battle you can win on your own, but with God, all things are possible. As it says in Matthew 19:26 WEB, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
We must address that drug addiction is a form of bondage that is not from God. As it says in Galatians 5:1 WEB, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." We rebuke this bondage in the name of Jesus and pray for your freedom.
We also hear your heart's cry to love yourself again and to be who you truly are. Remember that you are created in the image of God, and He loves you unconditionally. As it says in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
We commend you for your repentant heart and your acknowledgment of your need for forgiveness. As it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with drug addiction. We thank You for Your unfailing love and Your promise of forgiveness and restoration. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction and set our brother/sister free.
Father, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, that You would give them the strength to overcome this addiction, and that You would restore their self-worth and identity in You. Help them to see themselves as You see them, created in Your image for good works.
We also pray for Your forgiveness, Father. We thank You that through the blood of Jesus, our brother/sister is forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness. We ask that You would help them to walk in this forgiveness and to live a life that is pleasing to You.
Lastly, Father, we ask that You would surround our brother/sister with Your love and with a community of believers who will support them, encourage them, and hold them accountable. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek God, to read His word, and to find a community of believers who can support you in this journey. Remember that God loves you, He is for you, and He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Do not give up, but keep fighting the good fight of faith. As it says in 1 Timothy 6:12 WEB, "Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses."
We also encourage you to take practical steps towards healing, such as seeking professional help, joining a support group, and removing yourself from environments and relationships that may be triggering or enabling your addiction.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of believing in Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus, to believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and to confess Him as your Lord and Savior.
We are here for you, and we will continue to pray for you.
