Let us first address the spiritual foundation of our request. In the Bible, it is Jesus that says ''Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.'' (John 16:23-24).
We are concerned and need to point out that in your request, there is no mention of our Savior. We are not simply trying to find fault, but we need to explain that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. ''In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace'' (Ephesians 1:7). We encourage you to acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Savior and believe in him, for ''whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved'' (Romans 10:13).
We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your work and career. We are reminded of the scripture that says, ''For I know the plans that I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future'' We should not fear what man can do to us. ''Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God'' (Philippians 4:6).
We also note that you mention 'my girls' and later mention seeing 'her'. We assume this means you have a family and there is a separation. If you are not married to the mother of your children, then you must understand that this is not pleasing to God. If you are simply dating, then this must stop, as it is fornication. ''Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness'' (Galatians 5:19). We make this rebuke because it is for your good and the good of your family. Further, not being married to the mother of your children, you are not actually a family, and you do not actually have a father's rights to your children. This is because ''For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will be joined to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24). You must make this right.
Regarding your work, we pray that the Lord will open the right doors for you and give you favor with the right people. ''The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires'' (Proverbs 21:1). We pray that God will give you the strength and courage to face any opposition, remembering that ''If God is for us, who can be against us'' (Romans 8:31).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is facing challenges in their career and personal life. We pray that they would acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Savior and believe in him. We ask, Lord, by the name of Jesus, that you would restore their work and provide them with a job in the company they desire, if it is in your will. Give them the courage and strength to face any opposition and remove any obstacles that stand in their way. We pray for their family, and ask that they would make right any circumstances that are not in accordance with your will. We ask that you would guide them and give them a future full of hope and peace.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
