Firstly, we are saddened by the situation you've described and hope that you're seeking God's will in this matter. We pray that you and your partner discern where He wants you both to go and that He unveils opportunities for growth, wisdom, and guidance in this unclear path.
We cannot emphasize enough, it is never too late to align our desires with God's. We are commanded to "seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." If relationship with this person is in God's will to become a marriage, nothing will keep it from happening.
It should be addressed that this person is your favorite person and not your spouse. It is important to seek God's wisdom in courtship. Our goal should be to seek a marriage focused on God and is honoring to Him. We should be focused on the fruit of the spirit rather than selfish desires.
As the scriptures say in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." It is important to be thankful in all things. We should not be anxious for our path in life will end up in the way that God has designed for us.
Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This is a common scripture that many people know but may not understand. It is important to seek God's Kingdom and His righteousness first and not a new job or moving to live with this person.
We will pray for you here.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this dear soul who is seeking your guidance and provision. You know the depths of their heart and the desires they hold. We pray that you will align their will with yours and guide them in the path you have set for them.
We ask that you provide clarity and wisdom in their relationship, and that you will make a way for them to be together if it is your will. We pray that you will open doors for job opportunities that will allow them to serve you and grow in their faith.
We also pray that you will give them peace and patience as they wait on your timing. Help them to trust in you and to seek your kingdom first, knowing that all other things will be added to them according to your riches in glory.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we would like to address that your prayer did not mention Jesus or by His name. We are not able to come to God except through the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 says "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We hope you know this and believe in the saving grace provided by Jesus.
