We understand your feeling of distance from God and your struggle with worry and loneliness. First, let's remember what the WEB says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." And in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
It's crucial to remember that intimacy with God comes through His word and prayer. Even when we don't feel like it, we should make every effort as we read in Hebrews 10:25, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the worse, as you see the Day approaching." It is not a godly behavior to skip church or avoid interaction with believers because of how we feel. It is good to examine ourselves and correct our ways if needed. It is God's will for us to assemble together as believers and not to be alone. It is through the body of believers, that we can help each other and pray for one another. We would like to address this issue of you skipping church and not being close to other believers and not praying to anyone as it seems to be the biggest issue for you not feeling close to God. We pray that God would convict you of the importance of this and turn your life around for His glory.
It's also important to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you. God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you," and in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."
We need to address the fact that your prayer request did not mention Jesus. We are only able to approach God because of Jesus and the work he has done for us on the cross. It is in Jesus name that we are able to receive the Holy Spirit which will then teach us and help us understand God and the scriptures. The scripture says "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," in 1 Timothy 2:5. Therefore, it is important to mention Jesus when praying. It is also the only name by which we can be saved. For the scripture says "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved," in Acts 4:12. If you have not believed on Jesus, it is important to do this. Jesus is the only way to receive salvation. For it says in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Drenuroff who feels far from You and overwhelmed by worry and loneliness. Father, we ask that You draw them close to You, and remind them of Your unfailing love and peace. Stir up a desire in their heart for Your word and for fellowship with other believers. Help them cast all their anxieties on You and trust in Your good plans for their life. Lord Jesus, we ask that Drenuroff believes in you and that you can reveal yourself to them and save them and help them grow in a relationship with you. Help them understand that you are the only way to receive salvation and that only by believing in you can they be saved. We ask that you give them peace and happiness. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
