We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mercy, your friend's mother. Let us come together in prayer and support for the family during this difficult time.
Firstly, we pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit to envelop Kojo, Yaw, Akwesi, and Maa Abena. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), we are reminded that God is "the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." May they find solace in His loving embrace.
We also pray for unity among the siblings. In Psalm 133:1 (WEB), it is written, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" May the Lord bind them together in love and support for one another.
As for Mercy, we trust in the Lord's mercy and grace. In the words of Jesus in John 14:2-3 (WEB), "In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." We pray that Mercy is resting in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.
However, we must also remember the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through belief in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have eternal life. We encourage you and your friend's family to put your trust in Him.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up the family of Mercy. Comfort Kojo, Yaw, Akwesi, and Maa Abena in their time of grief. Remind them of Your ever-present love and grace. We also pray for Mercy, that she may rest in peace with You. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
