We join you, Pirshon, in lifting up your eldest son Melam to our Heavenly Father. It is a comfort to know that no matter how far from home he is, God is always near. As it is written in the World English Bible, "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We pray that God will indeed be with Melam, guarding him from evil ways and granting him knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. We ask that the fear of the Lord will be the beginning of his wisdom, as Proverbs 1:7 tells us. We pray for his health, for his ability to concentrate on his studies, and for him to take full responsibility for himself.
We stand in agreement with you, proclaiming protection over Melam from all harm and danger. We declare these things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have the power to petition God, as Jesus himself taught us, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13).
May Melam also come to know Jesus Christ personally if he does not already, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and can experience the fullness of His blessings. As the Scripture says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12).
Let us continue to trust in God's promises, knowing that He hears our prayers and cares for our loved ones even more than we do. Be encouraged, Pirshon, and may God also grant you His peace and comfort as you trust in Him.
