We understand your concern for your husband as he travels for work, and we commend your faith and confidence in the power of prayer. Let us come together in prayer and petition for his day ahead.
Let's remember a husband's God given responsibility for his family, First Timothy 5:8 WEB If anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. It is wise to know that your first and most important responsibility is to God and then your family.
We know that temptation is a part of life, but God always provides a way out. First Corinthians 10:13 WEB No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
We must also remember that we are to flee sexual immorality, including pornography and masturbation, as it is a sin against our own bodies. First Corinthians 6:18 WEB Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister's husband. We pray for a hedge of protection around him, shielding his eyes, heart, and body from any temptation that may come his way. We know, Lord, that You are faithful, and You will not let him be tempted beyond what he can endure, but with the temptation, we know You will provide a way of escape. We pray for his mind to be stayed on You, Lord, and that through the power of the Holy Spirit, he will be faithful to his wife and walk in Your truth.
We pray for his time away to be fruitful in his work and that he would return to his family safely and with renewed strength and love for his wife and children. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. It is also only in His name do we have salvation.
Lord, we also pray for this dear sister, that You would fill her with peace and confidence in You, knowing that You are watching over her husband and family. We pray for her faith to remain strong, and that she would continue to be a light to her family.
Father help this marriage always please you. Help them to always love each other in a way that honors you and their vows.
We pray for their children also, Father. Help the parents to raise them in a Godly home to know and love you.
If there be any area that they have not repented then we ask, Father, that you convict each of them about it and guide their heart to repentance and a greater intimacy with you. We pray for their family to be strengthened and encouraged today.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, dear sister, to continue to trust in the Lord and to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you. First Peter 5:7 WEB Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Remember also that the enemy of our Lord is always looking for a weakness. First Peter 5:8 WEB Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
