It is important to remember that we have access to God only through Jesus, as He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6, WEB). It is in His name that we should pray and make our requests known to God.
Also, we are reminded in Matthew 6:33-34 (WEB), "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
