We join with you, Anaphoge, in your heartfelt plea for God's blessing, peace, and prosperity to be upon this world. We echo your cry for an end to war and the strife that causes so much pain and suffering. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 16:33 WEB: "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
We are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB: "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
As we pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, we must also remember that God's will is for all to come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. We ask that Your peace, prosperity and blessing be upon this world. End the strife and war that cause so much suffering. We pray for the leaders of this world, that they would turn to You and seek Your will.
We thank You for the blessings that You have bestowed upon us, and especially for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We ask that You would be with each of us, guiding and directing our paths. We turn our will and lives over to You, Lord.
In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen.
Anaphoge you made this prayer request and you reaffirmed the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. Your prayer request already included asking in IJN (In Jesus Name), and we will pray for those that have requests, but do not mention Jesus.
