We understand your heartache and the complexity of the situation you're facing with your husband. Let's bring this matter before the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your marriage.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation. There is truly no other name by which we can be saved.
Let us pray with you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her husband before Your throne of grace. Lord, we know that Your desire is for marriages to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church.
Father, we pray for our sister's husband, that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to Your will for his marriage. We pray that You would remove any hardness of heart caused by the enemy, and that You would draw him closer to You and to his wife. Lord, we pray for the annulment and divorce to be terminated. We pray that her husband returns to his wife.
Lord, we also pray for his family, that they would not interfere or cause destruction in the marriage of our Sister and her husband. We pray that they would support the restoration of the marriage not to please themselves but to glorify the Lord.
Father, we pray that You would reveal to him his responsibility to love and treat his wife well, as You have commanded in Your Word. Help him to understand what it really means to love a wife so that a man's prayers are not hindered with God.
We believe that It is better to live alone in a desert than with a contentious and angry wife. Clearly these two need peace and harmony with one another. Both need to be pleasant to one another and of servitude to their spouse.
Father, we pray for his husband's house to be sold quickly, to find a job and receive needed income all in Jesus' name. The man mentioned he wants to be with our sister (his wife) but doesn't want to talk about the case. Reveal to him the way forward Father. How can he be with his wife if He doesn't want to discuss an important piece of their relationship? Lord lead him so that he can have his desired outcome or the outcome that You have.
Lord, we pray for restoration and unity in this marriage. We pray that Your will be done, and that Your name would be glorified in this situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Additionally, we encourage you to continue being a godly wife. Your first ministry is to your husband and your marriage. (Titus 2:3-5 WEB) "...that they may...be sober, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands..."
Remember, A wife and husband are heirs together of the grace of life. (1 Peter 3:7 WEB) "You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered."
Stay in prayer, and trust in the Lord. He is faithful, and He cares for you and your husband.
(1 Peter 5:6-8 WEB) "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.
Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Remain steadfast in your faith and your commitment to your marriage. We are here with you, praying and believing for God's intervention and restoration.
Galations 6:9-10 WEb) "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."
