Dear God, I came to you & my fellow believers days ago to pray for my friendship
Father, I sought Your help.
The truth is that I still don’t know what to do & need Your help. I love my friend. I have come to truly care for them. I miss them.
Yet it is painful. Why do they not acknowledge me in public? It feels like they’re embarrassed of me & that hurts. Why do they treat me as less than the others? It makes me cry. I do so much for them. I try my hardest to be a good friend, but I feel like I mean nothing to them. I feel confused & taken for granted so often.
Yet You’ve kept them in my life, Father.
And I am grateful for that, because I remember the moments they felt like a friend & were different in the past. I thank you & them for that kindness. Those memories are treasured.
Father, I don’t know what happened, but I just want to see that they are still that person & they care for me. I would like to see that I mean something to them.
Father, please forgive me for how poorly I’ve handled this. I have let my fear, hurt, past abuse & my own understanding guide me instead of You. I have tried to fix this on my own instead of submitting to You & I don’t want to do this any longer. I just want to follow You & do Your will.
Can you heal us, Heavenly Father? Can you bring trust between us & peace? Can we be reconciled & come together as true friends? I want whatever hurt between us to be healed & for our hearts to be changed.
Father, please look down upon your anxious daughter & help her. You know how many nights she’s cried. You know how hurt she is & the distress this trial has given her — but also how much she truly cherishes this friendship. Guide me & help me.
I thank you Father, that You haven’t ever left me. I thank You for Your unending mercy, love & grace. I thank You for all the wonderful people who have prayed for me. Their kindness means so much to me! They are loved as are You, Heavenly Father & I pray that you bless them as well, please.
In the name of your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, I pray, amen.
