Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and reverence, seeking Your divine intervention and grace for Niolage's father. Lord, we lift him up to You, asking that You would touch his heart and mind, bringing healing and restoration to his soul. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We trust in Your promise, Lord, and ask that You draw near to Niolage's father during this time of depression.
Father, we pray that You would fill his heart with Your love and peace, helping him to be kind and loving towards Niolage's mother and others around him. May he reflect the love of Christ in his interactions, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
Lord, we also ask that You help him to accept his retirement and find joy in this new season of life. Guide him to activities and pursuits that are beneficial for his well-being, and help him to see the opportunities for growth and fulfillment that You have placed before him. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
We pray for deliverance from screen addiction, Lord. Help him to break free from any unhealthy habits and to find balance in his use of technology. May he seek Your presence and find solace in Your Word, rather than in the distractions of the world. As it is written in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Finally, Lord, we ask that You change his heart and renew it, filling it with Your Spirit. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within him, as it says in Psalm 51:10. May he come to know You more deeply and experience the transformative power of Your love and grace.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
