We are with you, sangti, in lifting up your brother Merang to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is encouraging that you have committed his life into God's hands, for it is God who works in us to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Merang to You, Lord. We ask that You speak to him through Your Holy Spirit and convict his heart to turn away from alcohol and drugs. Grant him the strength to resist temptation and the power to live a life pleasing to You. 'For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need' (Hebrews 4:15-16, WEB).
Lord, we claim Your promise that 'if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed' (John 8:36, WEB). We ask that You set Merang free from his addictions and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Draw him close to You, Lord, and surround him with godly influences that will support him in his journey to freedom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to trust in the power of prayer, sangti. Remember, 'The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective' (James 5:16, WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep committing your brother to the Lord. It is our prayer that Merang will not only turn away from his old life but also come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and be born again. For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved' (Romans 10:13, WEB).
