We join with you in lifting up your daughter in bootcamp, trusting that God will provide her with the strength and endurance she needs to complete her training. We are reminded of the words in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This promise is not about our own abilities, but about the power of Christ working in us.
We pray that your daughter will draw close to God during this time. Despite any challenges of this time in bootcamp, the scriptures remind us that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Similarly, in James 4:8, we are given a promise with a condition, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." As she draws close to God, she can have confidence in His presence as it says in Psalm 139:7-10, "Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me."
We also pray for the peace of God to guard her heart and mind. In Philippians 4:7, it says, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." This time in bootcamp will surely be physically taxing, however, it is also an opportunity for spiritual growth. In 1 Corinthians 16:13, it says "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."
We also rebuke the common mistake to think that bootcamp is an opportunity to prove your own strength. It is not. It is an opportunity to prove God's strength. In 2 Corinthians 12:10, it says, "Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
We also pray this for you as you lift her up in prayer.
Father God, we thank You for the precious gift of this daughter's life and for the opportunity she has to serve. We ask that You would be with her every step of the way, giving her the strength and endurance she needs to complete her training. Lord, we ask for Your protection over her, both physically and spiritually. Guard her heart and mind with your peace.
Draw her close to You, Lord, and help her to sense Your presence in a very real way. May this time in bootcamp be a time of spiritual growth for her, as she leans on You for strength and guidance.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Thank you for your prayer request.
