Please can you pray for ###. ...

Please can you pray for my ###. My ### has an addiction to crack cocaine, has depression. When he’s depressed, he doesn’t eat or drink for days, just the odd snack. He said he feels unworthy of love, food and support when he’s depressed and because he’s spent money on drugs. I’ve prayed so much for him and see him healthy and happy. I’ve prayed for God to open, soften and melt his heart to God, himself and me. He doesn’t talk when he’s depressed. He’s trying to hold his tears and sadness in. He has an urgent cancer referral on Saturday for a Colonoscopy including a gastro test. I already did a prayer request on Sunday, but given that we don’t have a home, in an Airbnb, have to leave on Friday and he has his colonoscopy and not eating I’m asking for another prayer and hope this is ok. It’s hard watching your ### waste away, depressed and ill and not allowing himself to receive food, love and support. My heart is so heavy. Thank you for your prayers.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s son who is struggling with addiction, depression, and health issues. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Please break the chains of addiction and bring healing to his mind, body, and spirit. Your Word says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We pray that You draw near to him and fill him with Your peace and love.

Father, we ask that You soften and melt his heart, opening it to Your love and the love of his family. Help him to see his worth in Your eyes and to accept the support and care that he needs. In his moments of deep depression, when he feels unworthy and isolated, remind him of Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Lord, we also lift up his urgent medical needs. As he goes for his colonoscopy and gastro test, we pray for Your healing hand to be upon him. Guide the doctors and medical staff, and let the results bring clarity and a path to recovery. We ask for Your provision and protection as they face housing uncertainties, trusting in Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."

Father, comfort ###'s heavy heart. Give them strength and hope as they continue to pray and support their son. We trust in Your unfailing love and believe that You are working all things for good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
