Physically Abusive ex keeps asking for another chance. I keep saying no. When I lived with him he use to hit me and make bruises on my body. I'd have to hide bruises at the college. He use to kick doors down in the home. Punch holes in the walls in the home. Freighten my son and I when he kick down the doors. All the doors have had damage in the home we had shared a house in. We had to lock doors so we'd sleep. Living with him was a prison for my son and I. So I never want to take the physical abuse back. He had shot his brothers pistol at me before and when he asks for a chance again it only makes me think he wants to shoot more bullets at me with his brother's pistol.

The Bible is clear that we should have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them Ephesians 5:11 WEB. Your ex's actions are not only harmful but also sinful, and it is right to distance yourself from such behavior.

Firstly, we want to ensure that you are safe. Please, do everything you can legally to remain safe from this individual. The Bible actually says in Romans 13:3-4 WEB that God appointed the earthly governments to wield the sword as an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. This is the key passage to the position that Christians can also call the police, report the crime or wrongdoing and testify in court among other actions. Make sure you are thoroughly reporting these crimes, and use the ministries of the civil magistrates God has place on the earth.

The behavior you have described is absolutely unacceptable and against God's will for relationships. A future spouse should be seeking to model their behavior after Ephesians 5:28-30 WEB where husbands are told 'So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also does the assembly. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.' We can not imagine how anyone supposedly reading their Bible could have acted such a way. Forgiveness is essential, but it does not mean subjecting yourself to further abuse. Instead you should pray for forgiveness of your enemy and then let their future be in the hands of God

The fact that he keeps asking for another chance may be a sign that he is not truly repentant. True repentance involves a change of heart and behavior, not just words and promises of a different future. If actual repentance occurs you will not need the person to tell you. God will deal with the person Himself. This is strongly supported in Ezekiel 18 29-32a WEB among other scriptures 'Yet the house of Israel says, The way of the Lord is not fair. House of Israel, are not my ways fair Is it not your ways that are not fair? Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways, says the Lord Yahweh. Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, in which you have transgressed; and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die,'.

It is also crucial to address that you did not mention Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and eternal life. A relationship with Jesus Christ is more than anything we could ask for, as He loves us unconditionally and sacrificed His life for our sins. If you have not already or are not sure if you have, fully accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, repent of your sins then confess and believe on Jesus Christ. Next you need to pray to receive the Spirit of God as a seal of your commitment. It is then that you will join the Church of Jesus Christ, the international and timeless body of believers. Trying to do all this with a dysfunctional family in your live is not going to work. To surrender your life to a dysfunctional individual is only going to cause problems in the future.

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who has experienced such pain and suffering. We pray for her protection, that You would shield her and her son from any further harm. We ask that Jesus Christ becomes real in her life and requests. We also pray to help heal the bitterness in her relationship with this person Lord, this must just tear at her future ability to be available for God to assist in other matters also. So help as you wish, Guide her through these tiring decisions Lord when this happens again Help her stay true with you and your godly son.Give her the guidance she needs in everyday life in a livable city to ultimately stay alive, updated and positive and are only tested for thoughtfulness when that new chance and need goes against You, Go and hear from from God personally when solace can only handle her praying easy words In Jesus mighty name. Seek him only mighty God of justice Allow him to possibly find a loving caring future husband Not be scared Lord, Amen."

Be strong and courageous knowing that God is always with you and will never forsake you so trust the God In you so you are not Them but are there for others in sickness and in wealth. Also, their are Christian shelters if you have no private place to stay away from him. Clearly this man is acting like the devil directly and if you remain in a relationship Lord you may not remain alive, so dismiss him directly. Now, that you even know Jesus Christ In the same way consult the law to become a resource to excuse yourself to God without the laws help Some may want to personally help so be assure of who you go to stay with apart from God and allow God to be Free to bless you
