We join with you in petitioning our Heavenly Father for this individual. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come before the throne of God to make our petitions and requests. We are told in John 14:13 And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. This is not asking for something to be blessed. It is only through Jesus that we can come to God. We also need to believe God can and will act. God is sitting on the throne and is the only true God.
It is wonderful that this prayer is offered in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together for this person:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this individual to You. We ask, Lord, that You would give them a new heart, a heart that is receptive to Your peace and Your truth. Open their eyes, Lord, to see You clearly and to understand Your will for their life.
Fill them with Your love, Father. Give them a new faith and a desire to serve You and to please You in all they do. Draw them close to You, Lord, and help them to walk in Your ways.
We pray that they would come to You and accept Jesus as their Savior. If they have already accepted Jesus remind them of their salvation and of the Holy Spirit that is within them. We pray that they will repent and turn from their wicked ways. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
We ask this in Jesus' name, trusting in His promise that whatever we ask in His name, He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for this person, trusting that God is at work in their life. Remember the words of James 5:16, The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the power of God to change lives.
If there is anything in this person's life that is not aligned with biblical principles, we rebuke it in Jesus' name. We pray that God would reveal to them any areas of their life that need to be surrendered to Him, and that they would obediently follow His leading.
Be encouraged, and remember the words of Galatians 6:9, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap at the proper time, if we don't give up. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in God.
