Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, remembering His words in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only by His name that we can be saved.
We pray for those who may not have been blessed with greater faculties, those whose minds may not be considered complete by some, and those with physical and mental ailments. We remember that God's strength is made perfect in weakness. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'"
We stand against any suggestion that these individuals are not whole or complete, for they are wonderfully made in the image of God. In Psalm 139:13-14 WEB, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
We pray for their healing, for miracles in their lives, knowing that God is able and willing. Let us ask in faith, believing in Jesus' name, as stated in Matthew 21:22 WEB, "All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
We ask that God would show His mercy in their lives, that they would be loved, cared for, and safe. We pray that He would give them the ability to understand His word, and that He would send laborers to share His word with them. In Matthew 9:38 WEB, "Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."
We pray for companionship for them, for brothers and sisters in Christ who will visit them and show them the love of God. We pray for their protection from witchcraft, magic, sorcery, and demonic incursions. In Isaiah 54:17 WEB, "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail."
We pray that they would be saved, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In all things, we ask that God's will be done, that His kingdom come, and His name be glorified. We pray these things in Jesus' name, trusting in His love, mercy, and grace. Amen.
In our service, let us remember to be the hands and feet of Christ, visiting and caring for those who may be shut in, lonely, or in need of companionship. Let us share the word of God with them, and show them the love of Christ in all that we do.
