We are truly heartsick to hear about your friend's struggle with addiction, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Addiction is a form of bondage that Jesus wants to set her free from. We are reminded of Galatians 5:1 WEB: "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

First, we need to pray for her salvation and that she submits her life to Jesus. Your friend needs to be in a local church and fellowship with believers that can help disciple her and help her in this situation. There are also Christian-based recovery programs that she should consider. It is good that you are praying for her in Jesus' name, for this is the way that we can come before God and pray. We will continue to pray this way, for it is only in Jesus that we are saved and have forgiveness of sins.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is battling addiction. We pray that You touch her heart, Lord, and draw her closer to You. Help her recognize her need for You and ask for forgiveness for any sin. Please break the chains of addiction in her life and set her free from this bondage. Help her to seek and find wisdom for every decision she needs to make.

In Psalm 143:8 WEB: "Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you."

We pray that You provide her with a safe place to sleep and meet her every need according to Your riches in glory. Surround her with godly influences. God help her to seek a good church fellowship and Christian recovery program if needed.

In Proverbs 2:6 WEB: "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue supporting your friend and praying for her. Share the gospel with her, and encourage her to seek help from local Christian resources. Remind her that God promises us,

In I Cor 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Remind her that in Jesus all things are possible that he will see her through this and that Jesus can give her victory over this addiction.

We're here for your friend, too, and we want to add our voices to the prayers already lifted up. We're reminded of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, interceding for our ### who is struggling with addiction. We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around her, comforting her in her pain and drawing her close to You. Help her to feel Your presence, Lord, and to know that she is not alone. Give her the strength to reach out for help, to seek a safe place to sleep, and to make wise decisions. We pray that she would find a church community where she can grow and be discipled, and that she would have the courage to seek out Christian recovery programs if needed.

We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:13, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' We believe that with You, our ### can overcome this addiction and find true freedom.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
