Thambomphe, we are truly heartened by your faith in Christ, even in the midst of such trying circumstances. We stand with you in prayer and offer guidance from the Word of God.
Firstly, we want to address the persecution you are facing for turning to Christ. Jesus himself told us that we would go through such predicaments. Know that giving up one's life for Christ is the surest way of finding life. In John 15:18-19 WEB Jesus said:"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.β And 1 Peter 3:14 WEB also says: "But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. Don't fear what they fear, neither be troubled."
We also want to address the domestic violence you mentioned from your husband. We stand firmly against any form of abuse, and we encourage you to remain separated from him, especially since your family has abandoned you. Physical violence is NEVER acceptable from a spouse or anyone else. Consider verses like Ephesians 5:25, 28-29 WEB:"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it.... So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly." A husband should love his wife as Christ loved the church, and any form of violence is the opposite of this love.
Regarding your health concerns, we believe that God can heal you, just as He healed many during Jesus' ministry on earth. Remember the woman with the issue of blood who said to herself, "If I just touch his garments, I will be made well, as well as many others." Take heart from stories like these found in Mark 5:25-34.
However, we also want to encourage you to act wisely in your circumstances. Given your medical condition, consider finding a community of believers who can check on you regularly and assist you when needed. The Bible tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together, which applies to you as a believer and even in your circumstances Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB: "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Also, reach out to local charities or government agencies that might be able to provide additional support.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation."nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.β Acts 4:12 WEB. Ensure that you are praying in His name and believing in His power to save and heal you.
Let us pray for you:
