an all too familiar story: Zaitan aged 29, the mother of four, grew up in Uganda in a muslim home. She become ill in 2020, and as a last resort, she asked a local pastor to pray for She was healed and dedicated her life to Christ
And was then rejected by her entire family.
Her husband beat her, trying to force her to reject her new faith. When it didn't work, he threw out not only Zaitan but all four children out of the house to fend for themselves. Her own parents refused to help.
Zaitun turned to the church, and found refuge and help. They took her in, and steered her to an Open Doors small business training program. She received a small loan to start a business that provides food and clothing for her family. She also joined a savings group at church to help her one day be able to afford a house and land.
"I thank God for Open Doors and the training they bought," she said. "I have been able to start a business and can save some money, too." Had it not been for this help, Zaitun would have remained desperate, unable to live without the help of others. But thanks to your generous support, she is on her way to productive and joyful work, trusting God with the outcome.
Pray with Zaitun as she continues to follow Jesus despite the cost.
Thank God for the Open Doors partners in Uganda who were able to help Zaitun get back on her feet after her devastating rejection.
"Pray that my business may prosper so that I am able to save, invest and cover basic needs and buy a house and land someday," Zaitun says.
Lift up those who persecuted Zaitun in her own family, that they would see the provision the Lord has made for her, be changed by it and come to faith in Jesus.
Thanks so much for praying - From an Open Doors USA text alert.
