It is wonderful to be able to bring you celebration from our sisters and brothers in Vietnam!
Previously, we shared about 6 families from northwest Vietnam who were excluded from receiving government financial aid intended for building concrete water tanks. Because they have become Christians, their local government refused to help them unless they returned to the beliefs of their village. The families did not budge. they continued to choose Christ despite their need for water tanks.
A local Open Doors partner stepped in to help each family build a water storage tank. To lessen construction cists, the believers helped one another. Old and young, men and women took part. While men were shoveling cement and piling concrete blocks, women were either shifting sand or carrying gravel with their handwoven baskets.
Local partner Issac said "I thank God for hearing our prayers and providing for the 6 families. I am extremely encouraged with what the believers have accomplished in a short span of time. The families, 28 individuals, can now store rainwater."
Alang, the believers' local pastor said, "First we are grateful to the Lord because of His blessings and for hearing our prayers. Second, we want to say thank you to our brothers and sisters who are praying for us and are supporting us in building these water tanks. The tanks will be very useful to us especially during the dry seasons. Without it, we would have a lack of clean water to be used for our daily needs."
Rejoice with these brothers and sisters over the way their needs have been met!
Thank God for the funds to purchase needed materials, and the special bond between the believers as they worked together to build the tanks.
Pray for the community in which these believers live, as they watch this provision from God unfold. May it impact their view of God and of these believers in a positive way.
Ask God to bless the local partner who supplied the needed financial support. Pray that his generosity will come back to him many times over in joy and blessings.
Thanks so much for praying, God bless. From an Open Doors USA text alert. To sign up for text alerts and emails please visit their website. They also have a site in UK and Ireland and many others around the world.
