Friends, a trusted source has asked that we urgently pray for two North Korean brothers involved in our vital safehouse ministry.
This ministry reaches North Korean travelers and escapees, meeting their basic human needs as well as their spiritual needs. Many who pass through this safehouse are taught the Bible and discipled to grow in their faith.
One of these brothers, Hyuk-Soo(not his real name), learned about Jesus through our partners in the safehouse ministry several years ago. He received training to be a part of the safehouse and shelter ministry, also participating in the Bible lessons. We were alarmed when he was recently captured by police officers outside North Korea. This is a terrible situation for this young man, and we need to act now and pray for his rescue.
In many cases, when detained North Koreans are found with Christian materials and sent back to North Korea, they face terrible treatment and imprisonment - or worse. Often, they disappear into the North Korean prison system and are never heard from again. We believe in a mighty God who has opened prison doors before and can do it again for Hyuk-Soo.
We were also asked to pray for Caleb(not his real name) who is a faithful and dedicated local partner in the safehouse and shelter ministry. When people come from North Korea, he takes them in, teaches them the Bible, gives them a place to stay, food to eat, and meets other needs. Unfortunately, he has been ill for the last few months, and we received reports that he has been hospitalized for weeks to receive treatments. He oversees significant parts of the ministry and needs our prayers for his health to be restored.
Father God, we know Your eye is firmly on Caleb and Hyuk-Soo at this very moment. Your heart is with them. We ask that You comfort them both and give them peace. Please raise Caleb back to full health and strength so he can continue the work You have given him in the safehouse ministry. Give Hyuk-soo a special infusion of supernatural courage and strength. Remind him that his family all over the world is praying for him and holding him up to You at this difficult time. Be very real and very present to them both, in Jesus Name, Amen
Thanks so much for praying Elohim bless you. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert
