For the past 31 years, Precious has been serving God, sharing the gospel with many people. We've prayed for her before, that God would strengthen her ministry in her Muslim-majority community.
But recently, she was noticed by religious leaders who enforce Shariah law in the part of the Philippines where she lives, A relative, who she's been telling about Jesus for 10 years, warned her of the danger.
Since Precious left Islam and started to follow Jesus, she's shared the Good News with the people in her community using the Bible in their language, and many people have started to follow Christ as a result.
Precious doesn't know when she may be arrested - or if she will simply be executed. She and other believers in her area have stopped meeting together to avoid suspicion. But they hold fast to God's promises.
"God called me, and I will not retreat and stop in sharing the gospel," Precious says. "This battle is not mine; it belongs to the Lord. Persecution is a source of joy for me, because God is at work."
Please pray with Sister Precious as she walks boldly through her life with Jesus.
Pray as she continues to share the gospel with her family and others in the community. Ask for her safety if local leaders move against her in persecution.
One of Precious' prayer requests is a ministry vehicle so that she will not be suspected when she goes to do ministry and that she will have a way out if trouble arises. Pray for God's provision of this.
Thank God for Precious' ministry, despite the challenges, and ask that He will continue to make a way for her to share the gospel and be a blessing to the community.
Thanks so much for praying, God bless. Prayer taken from Open Doors USA prayer text alert.
