Beloved Servant
Friends, we received a terrible report from Pakistan over the weekend. On Sunday morning, after the church service at Shaheedan-e All Saint's Church in Peshawar, two pastors closed up the church and got into a car to go home. Without warning, a motorbike with two people on it pulled up to their car and the passenger opened fire.

Rev William Siraj was shot in the head, and he died immediately. Rev. Patrick Naeem was also shot but survived and made it to a nearby hospital for treatment. The congregation was devastated and plunged into mourning when they heard the news.

Let's pray for the swift healing of Rev. Patrick Naeem, that his body would be restored and that he would be free from pain. Pray also for the congregation, for emotional healing from this traumatic event and for comfort as they grieve the loss of one of their pastors.

A manhunt continues for those responsible for this cowardly and well-planned attack. So far, no-one has claimed responsibility, and no warning has been giving. But we are believing for justice to prevail!

Would you please pray the authorities will condemn this violence against Christians and put their full resources into catching those involved? Pray the shooters will experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit and that they would turn to God and repent.

Of Pastor Siraj, one of his church members, who was visibly emotional, said "He was a very humble and godly man, and we all respected and loved him. He loved us so much. "

The pastor's body was carried from the car to a nearby home, as people gathered there chanted, "Long live Jesus Christ." What a big loss this is, but we will stand in faith with the church as they move forward from this tragedy.

Lift up Pastor Siraj's daughter, a widow whom he lived with and supported. Continue to pray for the rest of his family and congregation as they mourn Rev. Siraj's death. Pray that they find comfort in the Lord and in each other.

Thanks so much for praying, Elohim bless. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
