Our hearts ache when we receive reports like this one from our field team members in India. Another Christian family in India was attacked by their neighbours and once again, the police refuse to help them.
A report from a remote village said the community held a meeting when they heard some families had begun to follow Jesus. The families were brought in and interrogated. They were threatened and told to give up their new faith. With strength and conviction, these families refused to give in!
Pray for perseverance for these dear people who are facing such strong opposition to their peaceful change of faith.
So, the whole village begun to beat them with sticks and shoes - even little children. They said the families would be 'excommunicated' if they didn't return and worship the village gods and goddesses. Still, the families refused to bend. We are encouraged by their strength and resilience in the face of this violence.
One of our open doors partner shared with us that, "The villagers also killed and cooked some of the animals belonging to the Christians. Then they drove the Christians away from their homes, threatening them that they would be killed if they came back to the village."
The believers had no choice but to hide in the forest.
Ask God to provide for their very real and desperate needs. Let's pray for peace in their hearts as they face this daunting situation.
When the Christians went to the Kukdajhor Police Station to lodge a complaint, they were forced instead to compromise with the people of the village. They had nowhere else to go , and no one to turn to for justice.
Let's stand together and pray that God will surround these believers with a very real sense of His love and concern. Pray for spiritual strength, against the devastating arrows of Satan.
Thanks so much for praying, Elohim bless you. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert.
