As we've shared in the past, Evgeny spent his childhood on the streets, and ended up in prison with a 9 year sentence at just 16 years of age. It gave him a burning desire to help less fortunate people around him when he came to Christ. He became an evangelist and house church pastor, and focuses his ministry in Central Asia with the support of Open Doors.
From July 12 to 17, Evgeny will be traveling in Central Asia, where he hopes to visit many Muslims to tell them the wonders of the gospel. He specifically hopes to speak to several mullahs (Muslim theologians) about Jesus. He'll also be going to people's homes, telling stories and singing songs, and sharing the Good News of the Gospel. People often want him to come visit again!
Evgeny has asked for believers worldwide to pray for this trip. He will be moving through rural areas where the roads are often not safe for visitors. In addition, he will be approaching people who are hostile to Christianity, and reaching out to them with the gospel.
