As Easter dawns on your side of the world, please join in prayer with Pastor Dauda Adamu (not his real name) in Northwest Nigeria. His community has been under constant attack from bandits, yet he presses forward, calling his people to trust in Jesus. He shared his Easter prayer request with us, and we gladly share it with you:
We celebrate this Easter by the grace of God. I love to pray for our nation, Nigeria. Our country is bleeding because of insecurity here. But we pray the Lord will step in for us in this nation, as well as believers who are being persecuted.
Wherever they are, we want the world to be praying for us in Nigeria, especially with what is going on. We thank God that we are in Nigeria, but we pray that the Lord will step in for us, even as we celebrate this Easter, our joy is that many souls will come to Jesus Christ because we believe He is God that came to save humanity.
And we believe that His Salvation is even for those who have perpetrated this evil. So, our prayer is that they will encounter Jesus Christ.
Thank you very much, as you celebrate, remember to pray for Nigeria.
Thanks so much for praying in agreement, Elohim bless you. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert. They also have a website and one in UK and Ireland and other nations where you can learn more about the persecuted Christians, write or email messages to them, take up their cause with our governments, support them financially or pray for them, get a prayer diary or sign up for the text alerts. Remember the Bible tells us to support and pray for them in Hebrews 13.3 and other verses. We are one church persecution will be coming to our countries soon and how can we expect the Lord to have mercy on us when we did not have mercy on those suffering now.
Thanks for everyone who prayed for my earlier prayer that I was desperate for prayer and under severe attack, I am delighted to testify that thanks to the Grace of Jesus and the prayers I am feeling much better.
