"We both grew up Muslim," says Adil of herself and her friend Nebi, who live in northwest China. "But now we follow Jesus. And didn't He say it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick? Why do people nowadays, even Christians, care more for the rich and abundant than the poor and needy in our society."
Adil and Nebi live in an area of China where government surveillance is intense. That might scare some people, but these two women ignore the cameras and minister to the homeless around them. They initiate conversations with them, bring them food and clothing, and most importantly, share the Good News!
Cheer on these two indomitable sisters with prayer as they bravely walk the streets, knowing they are watched, and become Jesus' hands and feet to the homeless. Ask the Lord to continue to give them stamina and a heart for the needy.
One time, a man on the street asked why they show such compassion, Adil shared,"I cannot do this alone, but my Friend was so kind to me that he shared something valuable with me. I can't help but share it with you as well!"
"Let's give thanks to your good friend!" said the man.
Please pray for open hearts to the gospel message as Adli and Nabi move among those who so desperately need to hear it. Lift their efforts to God as a sweet scent of sacrafice on His behalf.
An Open Doors partner was providing Adil and Nebi with discipleship training but due to the pandemic and tight monitoring, they are unable to attend anymore.
Still, they let the love of God fill their hearts and spill out to the community around them. They just can't contain it. For them, Jesus instruction in Luke 10.37 to "Go and do likewise" is more than a Bible verse, it is their daily marching order.
Thank God for the ministry of Adil and Nebi to often-forgotten people. Pray for the seeds of the gospel planted through them in non-believers' hearts will find good soil and raise up new life. Ask God to make it possible for them to receive training and spiritual encouragement again.
Thanks so much for praying, Elohim bless you. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert.
