A Christian family in Central Asia is asking for our prayers.
Fearing for their lives, Sabir, his wife Faina, their son and Sabir's mother had to flee their home when the local mullah - Muslim leader - in their village turned the community against them. Sabir's family are converts from Islam and where they live, anyone who leaves Islam is not tolerated.
"Such people should have no place in our village, and it disgusts me to breath the same air with the infidels," the Mullah told villagers he had gathered. "Therefore, they must be expelled from our land so that it's not defiled by apostates."
As a result of the mullar's hate speech, a mob went to Sabir's house, armed with sticks and stones. They attempted to enter the yard and house but stopped when police authorites turned up.
That night, Sabir's friends warned him that the mob was planning to attack their home and beat his family. Sabir and his family immediately left their home and all their possessions - there was no time to take even their warm clothes and necessities.
Right now Sabir and his family are staying in the city in a church member's house. They can't return home because the situation is still extremely dangerous.
Please pray that God would touch hearts, specifically the mullah's, and Sabir's family would be allowed to return home.
Pray for provision as they weather the cold. Thank God for this church member who took them in and pray for a blessing on his life.
P:ray that Sabir and his family would know that God is holding them tightly and that they would feel our prayers.
Pray for Christians throughout Central Asia who are facing similar persecution. Pray that God would place people in their paths to warn and care for them.
Thanks so much for praying, Elohim bless you. Taken from a Open Doors USA text alert
