Friends, a family in Central Asia needs your prayers right now.
The whole family was raised Muslim, but several adult brothers and sisters converted to become followers of Jesus. As they shared their new faith with their village, some of the villagers believed. And following their hearts, each believer stopped the ritual of visiting the local mosque on Fridays, angering the iman.
Their mother Amina was 80 years old when she recently accepted Christ. she died several days later. Now the villagers are accusing her children of causing her death: "Allah punished you for the betrayal of your Muslim belief"
Tensions in the village are running high, and the neighbour's anger threatens to overflow into violence toward this family because they have carried the gospel forward.
Please lift this family to the Father and join them in watching to see how He will protect them and use them in their village.
Pray for the family's safety and the other Christians in the village who have come to faith.
Ask God to make it possible for them to remain in the village. They have no desire to leave their home, wishing only to worship in peace together.
Pray they can continue the house church ministry they have started in the village, and that it might generate curiousity instead of hatred, leading to more believers in Jesus.
Thanks so much for praying, Elohim bless you. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert
