Jesus told His disciples: "When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. (Matt 10.23)
We've been praying for our brother Adam and his wife Hope, ever since he was arrested in Saudi Arabia. Today, we bring you news that Adam has left Saudi Arabia and been reunited with his wife and children in a nother country , where they fled for their safety in June.
It's a wrenching decision for a persecuted believer to leave his country for his own safety. But church friends convinced him that caring for his wife and children is his priorotiy now. As Adam's friend, Latifah, said - "Adam fought hard to remain in Saudi Arabia. He could have chosen to leave before the persecution intensified, but he desired to serve the Lord here.
"If all persecuted believers leave their country, who will remain to share Him with their family and friends?" Latifah said, anticipating the questions people might ask about Adam's departure. "EAch persecuted belivers's journey is different, and no one walks in their shoes except them. Adam proved himself willing to endure persecution, and endured through painful suffering and loss. Many came to know the Lord through him."
Please continue to pray with Adam, Hope and their family as they make this transition.
Thank God for Adam's safe move to another country, and for his joyful reunion with family there. Pray for Adam's heart as he continues to grieve that he had to leave the country and people he loves because he could not live freely and safely there as a Christian. Ask Him to use Hope to comfort and encourage her husband.
Adam and his family have received 2,189 messages of encouragement from around the world as they struggled in Saudi Arabia. Pray the knowledge that the worldwide church is lifting them up will encourage Adam in a new ministry.
Pray for the believers still in Saudi Arabia, that Adam's bold example as a witness for Jesus there will energize and strengthen them to do the same.
Thanks so much for praying, God bless. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert.
