The rush of excitement when you first receive Christ is exhilarating. Everything is fresh and new, and you long to know God better. And then, reality sets in and you realize He has promised to live in this world with you, not take you out of it and all its difficulties.
A man and his wife who live in the Arabian Peninsula accepted Christ last year. Despite the dangers of believing in Jesus in the country where they live, they embraced the promise of the gospel.
Local partners came alongside this young brother and there have been good conversations and discussions about faith, but he is struggling to know how to pray - especially when God doesn't answer his prayers immediately.
"Maybe I'm not praying right, or asking God for the right things. I can't understand why my life is still such a mess," he worries.
Following Jesus can lead to these questions even in the easiest of circumstances. But walking with the Lord is even more difficult in an environment intended to squeeze out faith. Would you please pray with us for this young brother and his wife as they find their way along the path of faith.
Thank God that they have come into His family, and embraced Jesus as Saviour. Ask God to lift their hearts every day and remind them of His presence with them.
Pray the Holy Spirit would help mature these young believers as they grapple with the same issues others have. Pray they would come to understand the deeper truths of God's interaction with them.
Ask God to replace our brother's doubt with strong conviction that God is indeed hearing him, guiding him and caring for them both. Pray they see evidence of this every time they lift their eyes to Him.
Thank you so much for praying, God bless. Taken from Open Doors USA text alert.
