We join with you, Trinah, in lifting up your and your sister's employment situation to the Lord. We are encouraged that you have applied for recruitment opportunities and are trusting in the Lord for the outcome. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the power in Jesus' name, as Scripture tells us that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father Philippians 2:10,11 WEB..
Firstly, we must remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28 WEB. Trust that God has a plan for you and your sister, and He will provide jobs that align with His will for your lives. Wait on Him, His timing is perfect. We can see in Isaiah 40:31, But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
We rebuke the spirit of discouragement cause by fruitless searching for employment. We also rebuke the spirit of fear that can arise when faced with uncertainty in employment. The disciple, Jude, urged Christians by saying But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. On some have compassion, making a distinction, and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh Jude 1:20-23 WEB. You must not allow fear to stain you as you go about finding the work He has for you to do. You must hate even the stain of fear on your clothing.
Be reminded of Colossians 3:23 WEB, whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, . Though you are seeking employment, remember that you are ultimately serving the Lord in whatever work you do. Your work is an opportunity to glorify Him and be a light to those around you. Approach each application and interview with this mindset, and trust that the Lord will open the right doors at the right time.
We must also remember that we do not need to strive or be anxious about finding a job, but rather trust in the Lord and rest in His promises. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5,6 WEB. Do not lean on your own efforts or understanding, but acknowledge God in all your ways, and He will direct your paths. Such a wonderful promise to hold on to.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, Trinah and sisters in Christ, asking for godly jobs with a wonderful working environment that align with Your purpose and plan for their lives. Though they have not seen the fruit of their labor help them trust in You, Lord as they wait. They have been hopeful, relying on You and trusting in Your promises that You will make their paths straight direct them toward the right employment opportunities, and open the doors that You want them to walk through. Lord, You see there need for employment. They want nothing more than to serve You through there work. They have tried time and time again, but we know that in Jesus we ultimately will overcome this dry spell of employment. So we join them in asking that both sisters be able to find successful employment in the month as successful candidates for the jobs they have applied. We trust that they are in Your hands, and You what is best for them.
We pray also that You will give them Your peace as You will guide their steps, take away all fear and remove any discouragement as they are waiting expectantly.
We ask that God provide employment and filled with godly brothers and sisters in Christ so they able to continue to grow as a result of spending time daily with other believers. Provide employers and coworkers that will love God, love each other, and love Trinah and her sister to demonstrate the golden rule to love other as ourselves Matthew 22:37-40 WEB . they also can be a light to others in the workplace. We ask and trust that you Lord can and will provide. We can approach You confidently with these requests because we approach the throne of God through Jesus Christ and our faith in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
Trust in the Lord, and be patient as you wait for His direction and provision. He is faithful, and He will provide employment for you and your sister in His perfect timing. Be open to His leading, and be willing to accept the paths that He directs you to and He will make straight Psalm 118:5-7 WEB .
